MAPLE NUT MOCHA CAKE | |
1 butter cake mix 1 c. water 1/4 c. butter, softened 1 tbsp. maple extract 3 eggs 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped FILLING: 1/2 tbsp. instant chocolate drink mix 1/2 tsp. instant coffee 2 tbsp. hot water 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1/3 c. butter, softened Small bowl Cool Whip FROSTING: 8 oz. Cool Whip 1/2 c. powdered sugar Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) cake pans. Mix cake and bake for 30 minutes. Cool cake and spread filling between layers. Mix frosting and frost cake. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. |
