AUNT MAURINE'S CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP | |
1 lg. chicken 1 c. flour 1 tbsp. milk Dash of salt 1 egg Boil chicken in large pot of water. Noodles: Mix ingredients as follows above in order. In large bowl. Let dough set in a ball in bowl for 1/2 hour. Flour surface for rolling out noodles. Roll out noodles as thin as possible, then flour dough and roll up in a log roll. Cut noodles very thin (when they cook they will expand). Take chicken out and take meat off bones and cut in small pieces and set aside. You might need to add more water to make enough to boil noodles, and make soupie. Unroll noodles and drop into boiling soup base. After noodles are boiling then add chicken. Salt and pepper. Then serve. You can double the noodles for a larger pot of soup. |
