1 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon (add grated rind for more flavor)
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix together batter, flour and confectioners sugar. Put in bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. While baking, gently mix eggs, sugar and lemon juice with a spoon or fork. Fold in flour and baking powder and pour mixture over hot crust as it comes from oven. Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees for another 30 minutes. Sprinkle confectioners sugar over bars while hot. Cool and gently loosen crust from sides of pan and cut into bars.
