ALMOND JOY CAKE 
Duncan Hines Fudge Butter Cake Mix
4 oz. almonds toasted (slivered)
1 pkg. frozen coconut
1 c. sour cream
1 c. sugar
12 oz. Cool Whip

Cook cake per box directions using 3 (9 inch) pans. Mix sour cream and sugar. Stir in thawed coconut. Fold in Cool Whip.

Ice cake tops sprinkling almonds on top of each layer. Refrigerate. This cake freezes well. (I do not ice sides of cake.)
