1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
20 marshmallows
1 lb. coconut

Mix cake mix according to directions and bake in 4 pans. Bring milk and sugar to a boil, then drop in marshmallows. After these melt, remove from heat and add coconut. Spread this mixture between layers.

ICING:

3/4 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. shortening

Mix this together. If too thick, add a little milk. Spread on cake and refrigerate. (Toasted almonds may be added to the side of cake.)
