NOODLE BROCCOLI CHEESE SOUP 
4 tsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 clove garlic or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3 c. chicken broth
4 oz. fine noodles
1 pkg. frozen broccoli (or 1 1/2 to 2 c. fresh broccoli), cooked
3 c. skim milk
8 oz. grated American cheese
Dash of salt and pepper

Saute onions and garlic in butter in a 3 quart pot. Add broth and bring to a boil. Cook noodles in broth until almost tender. Add thawed broccoli and milk. Heat thoroughly. Add cheese and heat until it melts. Serve at once. Serves 4.
