OLD FASHION CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, and salt in large bowl. Bring to boil, butter, cocoa and water. Pour over flour mixture. Beat well. Add soda, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 11 x 14 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes. Cool.

ICING:

4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Make icing with cocoa, milk, butter, vanilla. Bring to fast boil and pour over 1 box confectioners' sugar. Add nuts. Spread over cake.
