BEEF MARINADE 
12 oz. flat beer
1/3 c. oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. minced garlic
Dash of cloves

Combine the above and marinate the roast (3 pound chuck) 4 to 6 hours in the refrigerator. Turn occasionally. Bake in the marinade, then drain. Broil for a few minutes after brushing with some of the marinade. Turn. Remove and serve.
