OLD FASHION APPLE CRUMB PIE 
2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. peeled, cored and sliced apples
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust

TOPPING:

1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
8 oz. whipped cream

Preheat oven and baking sheet to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Add apples slices and mix until apples are evenly coated, spoon into pie shell. In a small bowl, combine topping ingredients except the whipped cream, until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apple mixture. Place pie on baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 hour before serving. Top with whipped cream.
