HOT FUDGE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour and sugar together and set aside. Melt butter in a large pan and add cocoa. Stir in the water and shortening. Bring these four ingredients to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in flour and sugar. Mix the sour cream and baking soda together and add to cake mixture along with the eggs.

Bake for 30 minutes until done to touch (springs back slightly when touched).

Icing:

1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 c. milk
Box of white powdered sugar

Boil the first three ingredients until mixed well (a couple Minutes). Add the powdered sugar and mix all well together. When it is mixed pour hot icing over hot cake. Can put marshmallows and pecans in icing. Also can be topped with candied cherries.
