CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING | |
1 1/2 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1 c. soft stale bread crumbs 1 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate Put in double boiler top and cook over hot water until smooth. 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla Melt butter. Beat in eggs until light. Add salt, vanilla and milk. Stir into chocolate mixture and cook until thick. Pour into a buttered baking dish and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Chill. Serve with whipped cream. Serves 4-6. |
