TIPSY SWEET POTATOES AND MEMPHIS | |
1 lg. can sweet potatoes 1/2-1 c. sweet potato liquid 6 tbsp. butter 3/4-1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. allspice 1/2-1 tsp. cloves 2 dashes salt 2-3 c. inexpensive Bourbon (don't waste the Jack Daniels) Approx. 18 lg. marshmallows Drain sweet potatoes, reserving 1/2-1 cup liquid and mash in mixer on low. Cook all remaining ingredients (except bourbon and marshmallows) and 1/2 cup sweet potato liquid in saucepan on low heat for several minutes until bubbly (or in microwave 1-2 minutes, stir once or twice). Blend sauce into sweet potatoes with mixer on low. Blend bourbon into sweet potatoes with mixer on low. |
