ROLLED OAT YEAST BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 c. oatmeal 2 tbsp. shortening 1/4 c. molasses 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. yeast 1 egg 2/3 c. dry milk 3 c. flour Put water, oatmeal, shortening, molasses and salt in pan. Cook mixture until just warm. Stir in yeast and egg. Add milk and flour. Beat. Pour into well-greased 5 x 9 inch loaf pan. Cover. Rise until doubled, about 2 hours. Bake at 375 degrees 50 minutes. |
