TERIYAKI SAUCE 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. water
1/8 c. wine (optional) if omitted, increase water
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. garlic (1 clove)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. onion powder
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Combine all ingredients and stir constantly over low heat until thick and bubbly. Yield: 1 1/4 cups.
