APPLE PECAN STUFFING | |
1 cup chicken broth 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/4 cup chopped onion 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 4 cups dry whole wheat or herb seasoned bread cubes 2 medium apples, pared and chopped 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 tsp. ground sage 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. pepper Combine the first 5 ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until tender. Combine remaining ingredients in bowl and pour broth mixture over all. Mix well. Stuff mixture loosely into bird or place in a casserole. In casserole, bake in preheated 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes. |
