1 c. Crisco

2 pkgs. yeast
Warm water (enough to cover yeast)
Flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. salt
Warm water to dissolve above 3 ingredients
Flour

Scald milk (heat but don't boil) and add shortening, then sugar and the yeast dissolved in warm water. Add enough flour to make a batter. Cover and let stand for 2 hours.

Next add baking powder, soda and salt that have been dissolved in warm water. Add flour to make a dough similar to biscuit dough. Roll dough on floured board and cut in biscuits, put on cookie sheet to freeze. Remove after frozen and store in bags in freezer. Let rise when removing from freezer before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until done.
