RED BEANS AND RICE 
1 1/2 c. Minute brand instant brown rice
1 1/4 c. water
1 (15 oz.) can Green Giant Red Beans (don't drain)
1/3 c. picante sauce or your favorite salsa
1 individual serving packet of MBT brand instant chicken broth
1/2 tsp. California Blend garlic salt
2 tsp. instant chopped onion
Black pepper to taste

Combine ingredients in microwave-safe 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Stir together, then cover and cook on HIGH power in microwave for 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, covered, before serving. Makes 6 servings. (135 calories per serving and 1 1/2 grams fat.)

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
