CHERRY COLA SALAD 
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 (6 oz.) box cherry Jello
1 can (no. 2) crushed pineapple with juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. of cold cola or Pepsi
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Combine water, sugar in saucepan, bring to a boil. Add pie filling; return to a boil. Pour over Jello, stirring until dissolved. Add pineapple, lemon juice, nuts and cola. Chill until set-about 3 hours. Serve with Cool Whip.
