LANCASTER COUNTY SHOOFLY CAKE 
2 c. boiling water
1 c. dark molasses
1 tbsp. baking soda

CRUMBS:

2 c. brown sugar
4 c. flour
3/4 c. liquid shortening
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix crumb ingredients, save 1 cup. Add rest of crumbs. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup crumbs onto cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle rest of crumbs over warm cake.
