MOTHERS APPLE POUND CAKE 
3 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 1/2 c. corn oil
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. finely chopped pared apples
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. raisins

Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; set aside. In large bowl beat together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla at medium speed until thoroughly mixed. Gradually beat in flour mixture until smooth. Fold in apples, pecans and raisins.

Turn into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. Cool cake in pan or wire rack for 10 minutes and store in airtight container.
