RAISIN TIN CAN BREAD | |
1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. raisins 1 c. water 2 tbsp. shortening 1 egg 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped nuts Pour soda over raisins in water. Let cool. Mix shortening and egg; beat well. Stir in 2 cups flour alternately with raisin mixture. Add salt and chopped nuts. Bake in 3 (#2) cans at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
