MICROWAVE BUTTER TOFFEE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. sliced almonds
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Rub the sides of glass mixing bowl with butter, then place remaining butter in bottom of bowl. Pour sugar on top of butter. Add salt and water. Microwave on High for 8 to 10 minutes. Candy is done when it is the color of brown sugar. Line 9 inch round cake pan with aluminum foil. Sprinkle almonds over bottom. Pour hot candy over nuts. Top with chocolate chips spreading to frost when chocolate is melted. Cool at room temperature. Makes 1 pound.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
