HAMBURGER POTATO SOUP | |
Fry 6 slices bacon. Remove from fat and crumble bacon. Add to bacon fat: 1/2 c. onion 1 1/2 lb. hamburger Cook and drain. Add: 1 lb. canned tomatoes 1 can potato soup 1 can beef consomme 2 c. sliced carrots 1 c. sliced celery 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Simmer for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally. Blend 1/2 cup cornstarch with 2 cups water. Add to beef mixture and cook; stir until clear. Add bacon and 1/2 cup sherry. |
