SPICED WALNUTS OR PECAN HALVES 
1 lb. walnut or pecan halves
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white
1 tsp. water

In large bowl (which has a lid), mix together sugar, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, beat together the egg white and water until frothy (just before soft peaks form). Dump in nuts and stir until completely coated. Dump nuts into sugar mixture. Put lid on and shake until completely coated. Dump nuts into buttered jelly roll pan and bake for 1 hour at 225 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Dump onto counter and let cool. Store in air-tight container.
