MOM'S PEPPER STEAK 
1 lb. beef, cut into very thin slices (sirloin or rib)
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 lg. green pepper, cut into thin strips
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. very thin diagonally sliced celery
1/4 c. unsulphured molasses
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate (Accent)
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 to 4 c. cooked rice
1 lg. can Chinese noodles

Brown beef in heated oil in large skillet. Add pepper, onions and celery. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in unsulphured molasses, soy sauce, lemon juice and seasoning. Blend water and cornstarch. Quickly stir into beef mixture. Cover. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice and/or heated Chinese noodles. Makes 2 to 3 servings. Add a touch more lemon juice to cut sweet taste.
