ONION RINGS 
1 lg. onion, sliced (rings)
1 egg, beaten
1 1/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. melted butter

Beat egg and milk. Sift dry ingredients, and gradually add egg mixture. Beat until smooth. Add melted butter and mix well. Dip onion rings in batter and fry in deep fat about 350 to 400 degrees until golden brown.
