SWISS STEAK 
2 to 2 1/2 lb. round or family steak
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. oil
1 c. (8 oz. can) undrained tomatoes
1 c. (8 oz. can) tomato sauce
1 large onion, sliced

Cut meat into serving pieces. Combine flour, salt & pepper. Coat meat with seasoned flour. In large frying pan, brown meat in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients; simmer, covered for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours until tender. Serve with potatoes or noodles. 6 Servings. You may use 1 can tomato soup with 1/2 can water instead of the two cans of tomatoes and sauce.
