SWEDISH MEATBALLS
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. lean ground pork
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 med. onion, chopped
1/3 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
1/2 tsp. brown bouquet sauce
1 c. half & half

1. Mix ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, salt, allspice, nutmeg and pepper. Shape into 1-1 1/2 inch balls. Place in single layer in rectangular baking dish, 12 x 8 inches or 10 inch square casserole. Microwave at high (100%) until meatballs are set and lose pink color, 9-11 minutes, rearranging after half the time.

2. Remove meatballs, reserving meat juices. Stir flour into meat juices. Stir in water, instant bouillon and bouquet sauce. Microwave at high (100%) until slightly thickened, 3-4 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking. Gradually blend in half & half. Reduce power to medium-high (70%). Microwave until thickened and smooth, 4-6 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.

3. Stir meatballs in sauce until coated. Microwave at medium-high (70%) until heated through, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Makes 4-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
