CONGO BARS 
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter, melted
2 1/4 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c. walnuts
12 oz. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Sift together the dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the dry ingredients, nuts and chips. Mix well and turn into the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Yield: 32 squares.
