WHITE ICING OR FROSTING 
1 1/2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
3/4 c. boiling water
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites

Combine sugar, salt, water and cream of tartar. Stir and cook until mixture reaches a small boil. Stir in vanilla. Beat room temperature egg whites to a stiff peak.

Gradually pour over egg whites. Beat icing until it is a good consistency for spreading. Easy to make!

Makes enough to frost a 3 layer cake.
