BROWN-EDGED LEMON WAFERS 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
4 oz. almonds, chopped
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Grated rind of 2 lemons

Mix butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Shape into balls. Place on cookie sheet and press into 3 inch rounds with fingers. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
