1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1/8 tsp. salt

Cream butter, egg, vanilla and salt. Add sugar until spreading consistency. Add sugar and beat a little at a time. If chocolate icing is needed add enough cocoa for color.
