SWEETHEART COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
2 (3 oz.) pkg. soft cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Beat together butter and cheese; add sugar and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Add to butter-sugar mixture. Stir in oats and nuts. Chill overnight. Divide into 1 inch balls. Shape into hearts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
4 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-3 drops red food coloring.

Gradually blend together all ingredients.
