WHOLE WHEAT PEANUT BUTTER
COOKIES
 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. dry milk powder

Optional: add 1/2 cup of one of the following, wheat germ, rolled oats, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds or chopped nuts

Cream butter, peanut butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, dry milk and one optional ingredient. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet and flatten with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. This cookie recipe has half the sugar and 2 times the protein or ordinary cookies.
