DUTCH SLAW 
1 head cabbage
1 egg
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/2 c. cider vinegar

Shred cabbage rather fine. Put into sauce pan, sprinkle with salt. Cover pan and place over low heat, steam until very tender. Beat egg. Add sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar. Pour over the steamed cabbage. Heat 5 minutes. Serve at once.
