2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
Jelly, any kind

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all the ingredients except the jelly. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Now cut into 1 inch squares. Have the child press his thumb on each square and fill that with his favorite jelly. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes.
