SAUERKRAUT A-LA-SHARON 
5 potatoes
1 onion
1 can sauerkraut
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. salt
6 slices bacon
1 green pepper
1 pkg. German sausage
1/2 tsp. freshly grated pepper

Peel and dice potatoes. Boil until almost done. Fry bacon until crisp enough to crumble. Chop onion and pepper into bacon drippings. Saute until tender.

Place a layer of sauerkraut in casserole, then a layer of onion and pepper, then a layer of potatoes. Top with the German sausage. Sprinkle with the garlic salt, salt and pepper. Add crumbled bacon. Repeat layers if desired.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

May use hot links or wieners instead of German sausage. Serves 4 amply.
