GRANDMA'S MINCEMEAT BARS 
3/4 c. shortening (part butter)
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. rolled oats

Prepare your favorite mincemeat filling. Let cool.

For crust, mix thoroughly shortening and sugar. Sift together flour and salt and stir into sugar mixture. Stir in rolled oats. Place half of crumb mixture into greased 9x13 pan. Flatten to cover bottom.
