SOUTHERN PECAN CRESCENTS | |
1 c. butter, room temperature 5 tbsp. sifted confectioners sugar 2 1/4 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. water 1 c. chopped pecans Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream butter with the confectioners sugar. Add flour and chopped pecans. Mix in vanilla and water. Shape the dough by pinching off a small piece of dough and roll it between the palms of the hands. (the roll should be about 2 inches long and fairly thick.) Bend into a crescent shape and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 45-50 minutes. Remove. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Makes small, dainty and gently crunchy crescents. |
