LIGHT PANCAKES 
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat egg. Add remaining ingredients and beat with rotary beater until smooth. Lightly butter griddle or large frying pan. Make sure pan is very hot. Pour batter onto hot griddle or pan with soup ladle. Make pancakes as large or small as you want them. Turn pancakes over as soon as they are full of bubbles on top. Cook until both sides are golden brown. Serve with warm maple syrup.
