BLONDIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 8 inch square pan.

Melt butter, remove from heat. Add sugar. Stir until smooth and dissolved. Transfer mixture to large bowl and beat 1 minute. Add egg and vanilla. Continue beating until light and fluffy. Stir in flour and salt, just until blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out barely clean. Do not over bake. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Makes 16 squares.
