UNSTUFFED CABBAGE 
1 small head of cabbage
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. rice (1 c. cooked)
2 cans tomato soup
2 cans water
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. grated cheese

Chop cabbage and spread in greased baking dish. Brown meat and onion. Drain. Stir in cooked rice and salt and pepper. Spoon mixture over cabbage. Heat tomato soup and water to boiling. Pour over all ingredients. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350.

Hint: Have soup cooking, meat browning and rice cooking at same time while chopping cabbage.

Tastes as wonderful as the stuffed version with much less time and effort!!
