BEEF VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
1 pkg. Hamburger Helper with noodles
5 c. water
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
16 oz. tomatoes
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables or 2 c. cooked vegetables

Cook meat and onion in Dutch oven until brown; drain. Stir in sauce mix and next 5 ingredients. Break up tomatoes with fork. Heat to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in noodles and vegetables. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
