RAISIN-CINNAMON DOUGHNUT 
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. chopped raisins
1/2 c. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter or 2 knives. Mixture should look like small bowls. Stir in milk and raisins. Turn onto lightly floured board. Roll out to 1/2" thickness. Cut into rounds with floured doughnut cutter.

Arrange doughnuts on cookie sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake 12 minutes in a 425 degree oven. Brush again with melted butter. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar. Makes 1 dozen.
