PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 c. water

Cook slow to soft ball stage.

2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
1/4 tsp. salt
May substitute salted peanuts and omit 1/4 tsp. salt.

Cook to hard crack stirring constantly.

1/4 tsp. butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Stir to blend. Pour into well buttered cookie sheet. Cook, crack. Store tightly covered. Be sure to use a candy thermometer.
