3 c. all purpose flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sifted cocoa

(Mix, bake and serve in same pan.) Mix together in 9 x 13 inch pan. Make 3 holes in the batter. In first hole, put 1 teaspoon vanilla, second hole 3/4 cup oil, and third hole 2 teaspoon vinegar. Pour 2 cups cold water over all. Stir together with a fork and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

ICING:

1 1/3 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Mix first 3 ingredients and boil 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir well and pour over cake.
