CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury fudge cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using solid shortening or butter (not oil), grease and flour 15"x10" jelly roll or 13"x9" pan.

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. By hand, stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake jelly roll pan, 20 to 30 minutes, 13"x9" pan for 25 to 30 minute or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. While bars cool, prepare frosting.

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and milk. Boil, stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over partially cooled bars.
