MOM'S GOLDEN CORN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients together into mixing bowl. Combine eggs, butter and buttermilk and add to dry ingredients mixing just enough to moisten. Spread batter into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.

NOTE: For a special treat - Melt 1/3 cup butter in a saucepan, add 1/3 cup honey and heat through. With a fork, prick baked corn bread. Drizzle honey mixture over corn bread. Very good!
