1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
nuts

Preheat oven at 350°F.

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add egg and applesauce. Add flour, vanilla, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix in raisins and nuts. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes.
