COCONUT OATMEAL CRISPS 
2 c. sifted enriched flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 (4 oz.) can coconut
1/3 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Cream together Crisco and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. Add oats and flour mixture. Blend thoroughly. Add coconut and nuts and mix well. Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut. Place on cookie sheet and bake 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until brown.
